Fancy Pants Manners

Dear Fancy Pants,

I have an obnoxious married friend who constantly asks insensitive questions about what it's like to be single. "I can't imagine it," she says. "What do you do with yourself all day? Where's your sense of purpose? Don't you worry about dying alone?"

How do I respond to these ridiculous questions?

Signed,

Cincinnati Singleton

Dear Singleton,

I suggest you take these questions in stride since your friend simply cares about your well-being and happiness.

The next time this happens, pull her close, embrace her and thank her for her concern. Then whisper in her ear, as gently as a spring breeze, "Don't worry. You'll find out one day....after your divoooooooorce."

Con Pantalones de Todos Colores,

Fancy Pants
